In Cantera Soccer you define a cadence per team: pick the days of the week and the time of each session once. From then on, the training calendar stops depending on the coach's memory or last-minute announcements.
If the schedule changes mid-season, you simply edit the cadence: future sessions are regenerated with the new times, while past sessions — and their recorded attendance — stay untouched. Staff and families always see the current schedule, with no outdated screenshots circulating in chats.
Training sessions that generate themselves every week
When you save a team's cadence, the system instantly creates the sessions for the next 7 days. After that, every Sunday night it automatically generates the following week. Nobody has to sit down and create sessions one by one: the calendar stays up to date without manual work.
For the coach, that means opening the app and finding today's session ready for roll call. For the administrator, it means no team is ever left without scheduled sessions because someone forgot. The weekly operation runs on its own, and you only step in when something actually changes.
Roll call in seconds: Present, Absent, Excused, or Late
The coach opens the day's session from a phone and marks each player as Present, Absent, Excused, or Late, with an optional note when context matters. To finish, they enable "close the session on save"; the system won't complete a session with a half-finished list.
On the Pro plan, roll call also triggers an automatic WhatsApp alert to staff when a player reaches 3 consecutive absences, so you catch someone drifting away before they quit — no manual list-checking required. Session cancellations with request and approval
Cancelling a session shouldn't depend on a last-minute message. In Cantera Soccer, the coach submits a cancellation request with a justification of at least 10 characters, and the coordinator or administrator approves or rejects it with an optional note. The decision shows up on the coach's screen, and the session can't be completed while a request is pending.
Administrators and coordinators can cancel scheduled sessions directly when the situation calls for it. And on the Pro plan, families receive an automatic WhatsApp notice when a training session is cancelled — nobody shows up to an empty field because they missed a chat message.
